Expert pediatric surgical care — for your child
Hernias, undescended testicles, phimosis, hydroceles, burns, fractures, hand injuries and more — evidence-based, internationally trained, family-centered care.
Most surgical conditions in children are common, predictable — and very well managed with expert care.
I treat children and families the way I would want my own family to be treated: direct answers, no unnecessary investigations, and a clear plan. If a condition can be managed without surgery, I will say so. If another specialist would serve your child better, I will tell you who to see in Finland.
My private practice covers general pediatric surgery, pediatric urology, orthopedic injuries, skin conditions, and burns — for children from newborns to teenagers. Online consultations are available worldwide.
Trained at the highest level, now in private practice
I am a board-certified specialist in pediatric surgery with over 15 years of experience at Finnish university and central hospitals — primarily at the HUS New Children's Hospital in Helsinki. I served as the pediatric surgery training coordinator for the HUS district and have broad experience across the full spectrum of pediatric surgical conditions.
My international training includes a fellowship at Akademiska Barnsjukhuset in Uppsala, Sweden, and clinical work at Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital in South Africa. I am also a co-author of the pediatric surgery chapter in Duodecim's standard Finnish surgical textbook Kirurgia (4th revised edition, 2024).
Today I see patients at private clinics in Helsinki, Hyvinkää, Kotka and Järvenpää. I also offer online consultations via WhatsApp in English, Finnish and Swedish — for families in Finland and abroad.
